Help

Short answers to the things people actually arrive here needing. If something below is wrong or missing, please tell us.

Joining a presentation

You need the code on the screen and nothing else: no account, no download. Enter it here and the deck opens in your browser.

Installing

The download page lists what is published for each platform. On Linux and macOS, install with one line in a terminal: curl -sSL https://auraoffice.org/install.sh | bash. It installs every application and registers the file types, so a document opens by double clicking it. On a Mac this is the only way to install, because the script clears the flag macOS puts on downloaded files, which would otherwise stop the applications opening.

Using an AI assistant

Claude Code, Codex and Grok can write Page documents, build Deck presentations and keep Track boards up to date once they have the AuraOffice skills. One line in a terminal installs them into every assistant on your computer.

Opening a document

Each application opens its own kind: .aupg in Page, .aush in Sheet, .audk in Deck, .aubs in Base. They are zips, so if you ever want to look inside one you can unzip it with anything.

Page also imports and exports .docx and markdown. An export says what it could not carry instead of dropping it silently.

Signing in

The applications work without an account and keep working. Signing in from inside an application opens your browser once; after that the machine is remembered and appears under your account, where you can sign it out again.

Something is wrong

There is no support desk yet, and saying so is more useful than a form that reaches nobody. This page will carry the right address when there is one.
